This is by far the most scenic and interesting route through the forests and moorland areas of Mount Kenya National Park. It is reached from the Chogoria village area, on the east side of the park From Chogoria village you take a direct route up the road leading to

the Meru Mount Kenya Bandas lodge where you can enjoy hot showers, a kitchen, bedroom, small lounge & a log fire. You also get to see the spectacular Gorges valley, the temples, lakes, Mushroom rocks, the Giant billiards table and the high peaks.

Day 1:
Leave Nairobi in the Morning via Chogoria Market to Meru Mt. Kenya Bandas for overnight in a Camp/ Lodge.

Day 2:
Trekking through Moorland to Minto's Hut for overnight.

Day 3:
Attempt Point Lenana and descend to Bandas for overnight.

Day 4:
Descend to Chogoria Village and connect with the transfer vehicle back to Nairobi
